Atlantic City Dog Park Opens at Altman Park

Atlantic City, N.J. — A new dog park has opened in Altman Park, located at Pacific and South New Hampshire avenues in the Inlet neighborhood. The park offers two separate sections: one for dogs under 40 pounds and another for larger dogs. Both areas include grass and mulch play surfaces, agility equipment, benches, waste bag stations, and trash cans. The park is designed to give residents a local, safe place to exercise and socialize their dogs without needing to travel outside the city. It will be open daily from sunrise to sunset and locked during off-hours. Proper vaccinations are required, and aggressive dogs are discouraged. This new facility is part of the city’s efforts to expand accessible green spaces. Community groups helped fund and build the park, and city officials say another dog park is planned, though the location has not yet been chosen.
