ATLANTIC COUNTY LAUNCHES $40 FARMERS MARKET VOUCHER PROGRAM FOR SENIORS

Atlantic County, N.J. — Starting June 1, 2025, Atlantic County will provide $40 vouchers to eligible residents aged 60 and older to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs at participating farmers markets. The program runs through November 25 and is managed by the Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services. To qualify, seniors must meet income limits set by the state: a single individual earning no more than $28,953 annually, or a couple with combined income under $39,128.
Vouchers will be distributed in person at designated senior centers and facilities across the county on specific dates between June and July. Recipients must provide identification, proof of income, and residency to receive a QR code voucher worth $40. The QR codes can be used in full or in multiple transactions but are non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost. Distribution locations include senior centers in Northfield, Ventnor, Galloway, Egg Harbor Township, Egg Harbor City, Buena, Atlantic City, Hammonton, and Brigantine. Vouchers are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional information is available by calling 1-888-426-9243 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications will be available by phone starting the week of July 21 for those unable to attend in person.
