ATLANTIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY — Atlantic County is gearing up for the Soar & Shore Festival, a week-long summer celebration set to run from July 14 through July 20. The event’s centerpiece is a free beachfront airshow in Atlantic City on Tuesday, July 16, with a full practice day on Monday, July 15. The airshow will feature a range of aerial performances, including high-speed flyovers from New Jersey Air National Guard jets, aerobatics from professional stunt pilots, and a skydiving jump by an all-female parachute team. Visitors can also get a closer look at historic aircraft, including a restored World War II bomber and a Cold War-era fighter jet. Beyond the skies, the festival includes a classic car show, food trucks, and live music. There’s also a silent film screening paired with live organ music, plus fireworks over the beach on the night of July 16. Fishing fans can join a championship competition at one of Atlantic City’s marinas during the week. While parking in Atlantic City is not free, weekday lodging rates remain accessible for those planning an extended visit. Beaches will remain open to the public, and lifeguards will be on duty. Organizers say the festival is designed to drive tourism, offer free entertainment, and celebrate the summer season along the Jersey Shore.
