Cape May Court House — A team from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police will review the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office on June 23 as part of the agency’s voluntary accreditation process. The assessment covers internal policy, management, operations, and support services. It determines whether the office meets statewide professional standards for law enforcement. As part of the review, the public and agency employees are invited to submit feedback to the assessment team. Phone comments will be taken June 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at 609-465-1135, ext. 3382. Email submissions can be sent to pros_general_emails@cmcpros.net. All comments must address the agency’s ability to meet accreditation standards. Anyone seeking details about those standards may contact Det. Vinnie Carannante at 609-465-1135. Written comments can also be sent directly to the accreditation program director at hdelgado@njsacop.org or mailed to the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police at 751 Route 73 North, Suite 12, Marlton, NJ 08053. Accreditation is valid for three years and requires the Prosecutor’s Office to file annual compliance reports to maintain its standing.
