Cape May Launches Free Daily Shuttle Service Through Labor Day

CAPE MAY, N.J. — Starting now and running through Monday, September 1, Cape May offers a free shuttle service daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The city operates two shuttles running the same route in opposite directions to provide frequent and efficient transportation for visitors and residents alike. Clear signage marks shuttle stops on both sides of the street throughout Cape May, making it easy for riders to find waiting areas. A detailed route map is available on the city’s official website and printed brochures can be found at Convention Hall, hotels, and other local businesses. Passengers can also download the Jitney Surfer App, available on both Google Play and the App Store, which shows shuttle locations in real time and allows users to request pickups. The shuttle route includes stops at Cape May Elementary School, where free parking is offered, City Hall’s municipal lot, and various intersections across Pennsylvania Avenue, Beach Avenue, and other parts of the city. Metered parking is available near the Welcome Center. This free shuttle aims to improve access and convenience for those visiting Cape May during the busy summer season.
