SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. — Business owners and property managers in Sea Isle City must submit their applications for the 2025 Mercantile Business Licenses and Rental Permits by May 1. To avoid a $50 late fee, applications must be received by May 31. Starting June 1, late fees will apply. The City Clerk’s Office, located on the second floor of City Hall, is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accept applications. For those unable to visit during regular hours, the office will also be open on Saturday, May 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Community Day.
Applications can also be downloaded from the City’s website, filled out, and mailed with payment to: City Clerk’s Office, 233 JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243. The website provides all necessary forms under the “City Clerk Forms” section. A new state law requires all rental properties and businesses to carry liability insurance. The minimum required coverage is $500,000 for property damage and injury for most properties. For smaller properties with four or fewer units, the required insurance is $300,000.
