DENNISVILLE-PETERSBURG ROAD TO BE REPAVED WITH NIGHTTIME WORK AND DETOURS

DENNISVILLE, N.J. — A section of Dennisville-Petersburg Road (CR 610) in Woodbine and Dennis and Upper townships will undergo milling and resurfacing starting Tuesday night, with work continuing each night through Friday.
The resurfacing project covers the area from the north side of the roundabout northward to Tuckahoe-Mount Pleasant Road (CR 664). Work begins around 8 p.m. and will typically run overnight until 6 a.m. the next day.
Traffic control will maintain one direction of travel while detouring the other. On Tuesday and Thursday nights, northbound traffic will be allowed, with southbound vehicles detoured via Route 50 west, Route 49 west, CR 557 south, and Route 550 east back to the roundabout.
On Wednesday and Friday nights, southbound traffic will be maintained while northbound traffic is detoured west on Route 550, north on CR 557, east on Route 49, and east on Route 50 back to CR 610.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution due to limited visibility, slow-moving construction vehicles, and the lack of permanent pavement markings during the work. Temporary pavement reflectors will be installed daily to delineate lanes until permanent striping can be applied. Drivers should plan for detours and allow extra travel time while the night paving operations are underway on this key county road.
