Cape May, New Jersey — Harborfest, a nature-focused street festival celebrating Cape May’s maritime heritage, returns Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Delaware Avenue, with a rain date set for June 29. The event will feature live music, educational programs, a beer garden, vendors, and family-friendly activities, all aimed at raising awareness of the region’s unique harbor and fragile ecosystem. Delaware Avenue will be closed from Pittsburgh Avenue to Wilmington Avenue to accommodate food trucks, vendors, and a beer garden, with Mudhen Brewery highlighted as the featured craft beer provider. Most land-based activities will take place near the Nature Center of Cape May, offering harbor beach walks, seining, touch tank talks, birdwatching from the center’s deck, children’s arts and crafts, and more. Live reggae music will be provided by Ear Me Now, a popular six-piece band well-known in the Tri-State area and a frequent performer at Cape May’s Free Music in the Park. Harborfest continues Cape May’s long tradition of celebrating its connection to the sea while educating the community on preserving this vital natural resource.
