VINELAND, N.J. — A significant artificial intelligence data center is nearing completion in Vineland, located in Cumberland County. Spanning approximately 2.6 million square feet, this facility is set to be the largest of its kind in southern New Jersey and ranks among the biggest in the region. The project is led by Amsterdam-based Nebius, a company specializing in AI computing infrastructure, working together with DataOne, which provides sustainable data center solutions. The facility is optimized to support intensive AI operations, with an initial power capacity planned at roughly 300 megawatts. The full buildout could ultimately serve multiple clients with power capacity potentially reaching the gigawatt scale.
Energy efficiency is a priority for the center. It incorporates onsite power generation to ease demand on the regional grid, advanced cooling systems, and heat recapture technologies to reduce environmental impact. Its location was selected for proximity to key population centers and to address frequent energy supply challenges typical in the northeastern United States. Nebius operates multiple AI data centers internationally including sites in Europe and the United States. The Vineland location marks a significant expansion of their footprint in North America’s AI infrastructure landscape.
