
MILLVILLE, NJ — A man has been charged with allegedly shooting and killing a woman who was attempting to return his belongings in a New Jersey park last year, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
Officers responded to Waltman City Park on November 9, 2024, where they discovered the body of Teaoshia Still, 36, with multiple gunshot wounds. An investigation by the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office and the Millville Police Department led to the identification of Kirk E. Williams, 30, as a suspect in the shooting. According to officials, Williams and Still had arranged to meet at the park so that Still could return personal items to Williams. During this encounter, Williams allegedly shot and killed Still. After the shooting, police found some of Still's belongings on Williams. A criminal complaint authorizing charges against Williams was filed on May 2, with a motion to detain him filed on May 7. A detention hearing is scheduled for May 12.
