Man Fatally Shot Outside Martinique Motel in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A 28-year-old man was found dead Monday night outside the Martinique Motel on Pacific Avenue, authorities confirmed. Police responded to a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. on July 28 and discovered Kendell Roseborough lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are jointly investigating the shooting. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death. This marks the third homicide in Atlantic City this year, following nearly six months without a murder amid an increase in violent crime since late June.
