Ocean City Rolls Out New Technology to Help Drivers Locate Parking Spaces

OCEAN CITY, N.J. — Ocean City has unveiled a new system designed to simplify the search for paid municipal parking. The initiative includes a mobile app and electronic signs that provide live updates on available parking spots around the city. Drivers can download the free “Ocean City Parking Spot Finder” app on both iOS and Android devices. The app offers real-time guidance, directing users to open parking spaces. Meanwhile, digital displays placed along Ninth Street and near municipal lots in the Boardwalk area show the current number of available spots. Mayor Jay Gillian described the project as an extension of last year’s “Always a Spot in Ocean City” campaign. He emphasized that the new tools will ease parking frustrations, boost local business accessibility, and improve traffic circulation citywide. Visitors and residents are encouraged to take advantage of the app or watch for the digital signs while navigating the city’s parking areas. Additional information is available at www.ocnj.us/parking.
