Ocean City, NJ — Ocean City has officially opened a new outdoor fitness park, offering residents and visitors 14 pieces of exercise equipment at the Civic Center, located between Fifth and Sixth streets. The park is free to use and will be accessible daily from dawn to dusk. The new facility includes 12 single-use machines and two large multi-use pieces, all designed to withstand weather conditions and frequent use. Fitness enthusiasts can also download the Kompan Outdoor Fitness app, which provides free workouts tailored to the equipment available in the park. The equipment includes a variety of workout options, such as an abdominal bench, shoulder press machine, pull down, leg press, heavy bag, horizontal row, cross-trainer, chest press machine, recumbent bike, arm bike, and kettle bells. This new park provides a convenient fitness option for people who already use the Boardwalk or Carey Stadium as part of their fitness routine. Mayor Jay Gillian expressed excitement about the new amenity, noting that feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The park offers a free, outdoor alternative for those looking to stay active while enjoying Ocean City's scenic environment.
