Ventnor, New Jersey – Paddlers of all levels will be hitting the water in Ventnor next month for a good cause. The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation’s signature fundraiser, Paddle For A Cause, is back Saturday, June 7 at Ski Beach on Dorset Avenue. The main event is a 22.5-mile paddleboard race around Absecon Island that tests both strength and stamina. While it attracts top-level athletes, organizers say there will be shorter paddle routes available for anyone who wants to join in and support families affected by cancer. Beyond the race, the day includes live music, food trucks, giveaways, and more — all while raising money for a foundation that provides direct financial help to those battling the disease. Whether you're racing or just there for the vibes, every dollar raised helps make a difference. The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation was started in 2001 and has since become a lifeline for local cancer patients. Paddle For A Cause is their biggest annual fundraiser. This year’s event is sponsored by DeSatnick Real Estate. Anyone interested in paddling or becoming a sponsor can sign up online at thedrcf.org.
