PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. — A 19-year-old man from Pleasantville was taken into custody Wednesday morning after allegedly threatening people inside a Dollar General on South New Road. Police said Javont Bell-Lowe entered the store around 11 a.m., causing alarm among customers and employees, who were unsure if he was armed. Officers arriving on the scene found that Bell-Lowe had already left, but a K-9 unit later recovered a stolen handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition, which is legal only for hunting and target shooting. Bell-Lowe faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, use of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of prohibited ammunition, receiving stolen property, and obstruction of justice. He is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
