SOMERS POINT, N.J. — Families with students enrolled in Somers Point schools can apply for school supply assistance for the 2025-2026 year. Eligible families may register using an official online form to request supplies tailored for their child’s grade level, based on lists provided to the department by the school district. Once approved, families will be contacted directly to arrange a pick-up time at the Somers Point Youth Center ahead of the new school year. The goal is to ensure every student starts the year with required materials. Community members interested in supporting local students are encouraged to donate new school supplies. Donors are asked to refer to the official grade-level lists to meet current requirements. Donations will be accepted at the Somers Point Police Department through August 14. Supplies can also be brought to community events, including National Night Out at JFK Park on August 5 and a movie night at the beach on August 11. Officials emphasize this assistance aims to relieve financial burdens on local families and help all students begin the school year prepared. Questions about registration or donations can be directed to Kate MacKenzie at the Somers Point Police Department.
