Sea Isle City, New Jersey — At its June 24 meeting, the Sea Isle City Council recognized two longtime members as they prepare to leave the governing body ahead of the July 1 reorganization.
Jack Gipson, 91, who has served on the council since 2013, announced he would not seek reelection in 2025, citing his age. Gipson previously served multiple terms in the New Jersey State Assembly between 1992 and 2006. His council seat will be filled by retired Sea Isle police Captain Mike Jargowsky, a newcomer to elected office, who will be sworn in during the July 1 reorganization.
J.B. Feeley, also stepping down after losing his bid for a third council term in the May municipal elections, was first elected in 2017. Feeley is a retired senior project manager for the Casino Redevelopment Authority in Atlantic City. His successor, Ian Ciseck, a real estate professional, will join the council on July 1. Ciseck’s wife, Lauren, serves on the city’s school board. Both Gipson and Feeley were honored with proclamations expressing gratitude for their years of service to the community.
