SEA ISLE CITY MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY HONORED VETERANS WITH TRIBUTE EVENTS AT VETERANS PARK

Sea Isle City held its annual Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Park on JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue. The event, hosted by Mayor Leonard Desiderio, featured city council members, local religious leaders, and the VFW Post 1963 Honor Guard in attendance.
Patriotic hymns and bagpipe music were performed as guest speakers paid tribute to veterans who sacrificed their lives in military service. Floral wreaths were placed around the Memorial Fountain to honor the fallen.
Following the ceremony, Boy Scout Troop 76 led a procession to the JFK Boulevard beach, where the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol conducted a Naval Tribute by rowing flowers beyond the breakers.
Memorial Day serves as a solemn reminder of the nation’s military personnel who gave the ultimate sacrifice, emphasizing the importance of remembrance alongside holiday celebrations. Residents and visitors are encouraged to fly the American flag at home as a mark of respect for those who served and sacrificed.
