Sea Isle City, NJ — Shore Medical Center has donated three fully stocked sensory kits to Sea Isle City Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to aid in the care of patients with sensory needs. The kits include laminated communication boards, fidget toys, noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, and shaded glasses, designed to help individuals with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. In addition to the kits, Shore Medical Center is providing state-certified training to EMS personnel to ensure they can effectively use the sensory tools during emergency care. This donation comes as part of a broader effort to address the needs of neurodivergent individuals in the community. The donation reflects an ongoing partnership between Shore Medical Center and Sea Isle City, with previous initiatives aimed at supporting individuals with sensory challenges, including the opening of an outpatient testing area for those with ASD and other related needs.
