Shore Medical Center Scores an 'A' in Hospital Safety from Leapfrog Group

SOMERS POINT — Shore Medical Center has earned an "A" Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national organization focused on ensuring patient safety. This "A" grade recognizes the hospital’s efforts in reducing medical errors, injuries, infections, and its commitment to preventing these issues.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade focuses on hospital safety measures that aim to prevent errors, infections, and other issues, and is the only hospital rating program that centers solely on avoidable medical harm. The grades are updated twice a year in both spring and fall. Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, congratulated Shore Medical Center for its focus on patient safety. The Leapfrog grades are updated biannually and are freely available to the public.
