Showboat Casino Owner Bart Blatstein Settles $532K Debt After Arrest Warrant in Atlantic City

Atlantic City, NJ — Bart Blatstein, the owner of the Showboat Casino, paid off a $532,000 debt owed to Lee-Way Electrical after the company obtained an arrest warrant over unpaid bills. The contractor had performed work at the Showboat and Island Waterpark properties, but Blatstein’s companies had fallen behind on their payment schedule. After failing to meet the terms of a March court order, the contractor sought an arrest warrant in late June, which was intended to bring Blatstein before a judge rather than to incarcerate him. The matter was quickly resolved when Blatstein made the payment this week, calling the delay an oversight. Blatstein explained that his companies were not facing financial problems and that the payment was part of resolving a larger debt, initially over $725,000. The court order and subsequent action put pressure on him to finalize the payment, which has now been completed.
