WOODBRIDGE — A 17-year-old student was arrested after a classmate reported receiving threatening text messages from him, leading to the discovery of a loaded untraceable gun in his possession. On Tuesday morning, a student at Woodbridge High School went to administrators to report receiving the threats from the teen the night before. A search of the 17-year-old's belongings revealed a loaded firearm, which police later determined to be a ghost gun, a firearm without a serial number. The Woodbridge Police Department confiscated the gun and took the teen into custody. He is facing multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, making terroristic threats, possession of a firearm on school property, and possession of a ghost gun. The teen is currently being held at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center. The case remains under investigation.
