
Millville, N.J. — Authorities have charged a 16-year-old boy with murder in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Roshaud Rhett on June 14, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office reported Monday. The juvenile also faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, unlawful handgun possession, and possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose. On Thursday, 19-year-old Trasuf J. Bennett was apprehended by local and federal law enforcement officers. Bennett is charged with murder and related weapon offenses in connection to Rhett’s death. Also arrested Monday was 19-year-old James L. Henry of Millville. Henry is accused of unlawfully possessing a firearm and firing at Bennett’s vehicle during the incident. Officials said the investigation into the case is ongoing as they continue gathering evidence.
