
Middle Township , N.J. — A two-vehicle crash early Monday on Court House-South Dennis Road claimed the life of a 13-year-old passenger and left two adults injured. Police responded at approximately 4:45 a.m. June 23 after a Mitsubishi Lancer traveling southbound crossed into the northbound lane while passing another vehicle. The Mitsubishi collided head-on with a Honda Accord. The 13-year-old passenger in the Honda was taken to Cooper Medical Center, where the child was pronounced dead. The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 26-year-old man from Woodbine, and the Honda driver, a 55-year-old man from Sewell, were both transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for medical care. Court House-South Dennis Road remained closed for about five hours as emergency crews worked the scene and investigators collected evidence. The Middle Township Major Crimes Unit and Accident Crash Unit are leading the ongoing investigation. The crash response included support from the Goshen and Cape May Court House fire departments, the state Department of Transportation, and AtlantiCare Emergency Medical Services. Officials have not released additional information. The investigation is active and ongoing.
