USPS OPENS $32M SORTING CENTER IN EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP

Egg Harbor Township — The U.S. Postal Service has launched a new $32 million Sorting & Delivery Center in Egg Harbor Township, aiming to speed up mail processing and strengthen delivery efficiency across the region. The center was officially introduced during an employee-focused event, marking a major step in USPS modernization efforts. The facility is part of a nationwide $40 billion investment to upgrade logistics, enhance service reliability, and improve workplace conditions. In New Jersey, the initiative includes renovations to three locations and deployment of over 400 new delivery vehicles. USPS says the changes are tailored to meet shifting customer demands while improving day-to-day operations for its more than 10,000 employees statewide.
