VENTNOR CITY, NEW JERSEY — Officials declared the AAAA Bike Shop unsafe after a vehicle crashed into the building Tuesday morning, forcing a partial street closure in the area. At 9:06 a.m., police responded to reports that a black 2019 Toyota Highlander had struck the bike shop near the intersection of Ventnor and Little Rock avenues. The shop was open at the time, but no injuries were reported to anyone inside, including the driver and passenger. The driver, 35-year-old Kohinoor Akter from Atlantic City, was cited for careless driving. Her passenger, a 48-year-old man also from Atlantic City, was unharmed. Due to the damage sustained, officials closed a section of the block around the business as a safety precaution. Emergency responders on scene included the Ventnor Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, Atlantic City Electric, South Jersey Gas, and Providence Towing.
