Ventnor’s AAAA Bike Shop Reopens One Week After Car Crashes Through Storefront

Ventnor City, New Jersey  — AAAA Bike Shop reopened just seven days after a car crashed into its storefront on June 17, causing significant damage but no injuries. Owner Mike Wiesen reported that about 50 bicycles were damaged, though many will be repaired. The building was initially declared unsafe, temporarily displacing two residents living above the shop. Power was restored, and the residents have returned. The crash involved a 2019 Toyota Highlander driven by 35-year-old Kohinoor Akter of Atlantic City. Akter received a summons for careless driving. No injuries were reported. Wiesen praised the swift response and support from city officials, emergency personnel, contractors, and community members, crediting them for helping the business reopen quickly. A temporary wall now faces Little Rock Avenue until permanent repairs are completed in September. Customers have returned, many unaware the repair is temporary. AAAA Bike Shop operates daily at 5300 Ventnor Avenue, opening at 9 a.m. For more information, visit aaaabikeshop.com or call 609-487-0808.
