VINELAND MAN FATALLY STABBED ON SOUTH EAST AVENUE; SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

Vineland, N.J. — A 67-year-old man died after a stabbing Monday morning on South East Avenue, authorities confirmed. At 10:30 a.m. on July 14, police responded to a home on South East Avenue where they found Ronald Shields suffering from multiple stab wounds. Shields was airlifted to an Atlantic City hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Witnesses helped police quickly locate a suspect nearby. The individual was taken into custody and charged. The State plans to request pretrial detention.
