Vineland, N.J. — A 50-year-old teacher at Dr. William Mennies Elementary School was taken into custody Thursday after child pornography was found on his electronic devices, according to Gloucester County prosecutors.
James Adams, who lives in Washington Township, faces charges for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials. He is held in Salem County Jail and is expected to appear in court Friday. Authorities began investigating after tracing illicit content on social media to Adams. A search warrant executed at his home led to the seizure of several electronic devices, one matching the type used to send the illegal files. Adams admitted to receiving the materials during questioning. The school district confirmed it has been notified and is cooperating with law enforcement, emphasizing that student safety remains a top priority.
