MILTON, Del. — The Delaware Department of Transportation will install new pavement markings and signs to reconfigure crossovers on SR 1 between Broadkill River (Lockerman Road) and Red Fox Lane on Monday, October 27, 2025. The changes aim to improve safety along the corridor by reducing conflict points.
Motorists from Hudson Road, Eagle Crest Road, Oyster Rock Road, and Steamboat Landing Road will be required to turn right onto SR 1, while northbound and southbound left turns at these intersections will still be allowed. Certain crossovers will be restricted for authorized users, such as first responders. Drivers should anticipate delays due to lane closures and are urged to proceed with caution and give space for construction vehicles.
