SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night in Seaford, prompting authorities to urge residents to avoid the area near Nutter Park and Collins Avenue. The Seaford Police Department initially responded before state police took over the investigation. Following the incident, the Seaford School District announced that Seaford High School would hold an asynchronous learning day on Thursday, March 13. While no current students were physically harmed, school officials acknowledged the emotional toll on the community and are offering additional counseling support. The district is working closely with law enforcement and providing outreach to affected families and students. Authorities have not released details about potential suspects or injuries.
