WASHINGTON, July 21 (Reuters) – Former professional football player Jay Feely, who is endorsed by President Donald Trump, on Tuesday won the Republican Party primary election in Arizona’s U.S. House of Representatives 1st congressional district, according to media projections.
Republicans’ quest to keep majority control of the House depends in part on their ability to win the general election race in this district on November 3. Incumbent Republican Representative David Schweikert ran unsuccessfully for governor.
