WASHINGTON, March 17 (Reuters) – Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton on Tuesday won the Democratic nomination to run for U.S. Senate in Illinois, NBC News projected.
Illinois is a heavily Democratic state, meaning that Stratton is favored to win the November general election to succeed veteran U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.
