(Detroit, MI) — Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is clashing with his former Democratic primary opponent about a campaign ad she claims is anti-Israel. Congresswoman Haley Stevens has been critical of an ad that blames high prices in Michigan on Israel and the war in Gaza, and says it’s antisemitic. Stevens said she expected El-Sayed to condemn the ad, which was released by an outside progressive group. In a response, El-Sayed said Stevens “seems intent on relitigating a primary that ended three months ago.”
