(Krakow) — Authorities in Poland are investigating a shooting on Saturday that left six people dead and injured at least 15 others in Krakow’s historic market square. Four women and two men were killed in the mid-day ambush when a gunman fired randomly from a vehicle. The attacker, identified as a Polish national, was shot by police and taken to the hospital. A spokesperson for the Krakow police say the suspect was wearing military-style fatigues and used a military long gun in the attack. Officials say they are looking into reports the gunman was fixated on far-right extremist beliefs.
