BEIJING, Oct 15 (Reuters) – China’s top prosecuting agency, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, has sought the arrest of the former mayor of Chengdu, Wang Fengchao, for suspected bribery, state news agency Xinhua said on Thursday.

Wang was expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office due to severe breaches of party disciplines and national laws, according to announcements by Chinese anti-graft bodies in June.
