June 8 (Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 8.2 struck Mindanao in the Philippines on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), GFZ said.
GFZ earlier pegged the earthquake at 7.3. The U.S. Tsunami Warning System issued a tsunami threat to the earthquake.
