WASHINGTON, Feb 18 (Reuters) – The top U.S. commander overseeing U.S. forces in Latin America, General Francis Donovan, and a top Pentagon official, made a surprise visit to Venezuela on Wednesday, a U.S. official told Reuters.
Donovan and Joseph Humire, who oversees Pentagon policy for the Americas, met senior Venezuelan officials, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
