SEOUL, March 24 (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told the country’s legislature that his government would push ahead with a new five-year economic plan while expanding a self‑defensive nuclear deterrent, according to state media KCNA on Tuesday.
The session also adopted constitutional changes and heard a congratulatory message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who pledged to deepen a strategic partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang, KCNA said.
