LIMA, July 6 (Reuters) – Peruvian leftist presidential candidate Roberto Sanchez conceded the election to conservative Keiko Fujimori on Monday, days after electoral authorities declared her the winner.
Sanchez and his party said on Monday in a statement they “recognized that the National Elections Board had officially proclaimed the electoral results.” The final tally gave Fujimori 50.135% of the vote in the June 7 runoff.
