TORONTO, March 27 (Reuters) – Toronto police on Friday said they were responding to reports of a fire on top of a building undergoing construction with possible explosions, as a billowing plume of smoke could be seen rising from a downtown building.
The building is located in a densely populated area close to the city’s financial district.
Toronto Paramedic Service said emergency personnel had arrived on scene and had initially encountered no one injured.
