VATICAN CITY, Oct 23 (Reuters) – Pope Leo has undergone a chest examination which showed excellent progress following his recent lung cancer surgery, the Vatican said on Friday, citing the pontiff’s doctors.
The Vatican added that despite the positive medical results, the pope is cancelling a planned trip to the Italian town of Assisi on October 27 in order to avoid the helicopter flight.
